McGregor has signed the EPIC Fight Contract

The most eagerly-awaited fight of our time might actually be happening, as Conor McGregor confirms he signed ‘an historic contract’ in agreement to fight Floyd Mayweather.

Tentative speculation has been rife regarding Money and The Notorious’ imminent stand-off. There’s been more to and fro than an episode of The Chuckle Brothers and more “will they/won’t they?” than Ross and Rachel.

But according to an interview, Conor McGregor has now confirmed that a deal had been struck and he has signed on the dotted line.

McGregor stated:

It is an honour to sign this record breaking deal alongside my partners Zuffa LLC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Paradigm Sports Management.

The first, and most important part of this historic contract has now officially been signed off on. Congratulations to all parties involved. We now await Al Haymon and his boxer’s signature in the coming days.

Dana White also confirmed the agreements are well under way, and Conor is all set on his terms.

During the TNT post-game show when attending the NBA Eastern Conference Finals between Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers White told basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal:

Although Mayweather has yet to agree to the terms, White stated this contract is a significant step on the road to getting McGregor out of the Octagon and Mayweather back onto the canvas, after an almost two-year hiatus.

White also confirmed that it would be a “straight up boxing fight”.

This comes just weeks after McGregor’s first child was born, and his coach opened up about building a specially-designed boxing ring in which the Irish fighter can train.
